1. Install & first-run setup FREE

Trinetra SEO is a complete, lightweight SEO toolkit. Every core feature works locally — no API key, no external service required.

  1. In WordPress admin go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin and upload trinetra-seo.zip (or search “Trinetra SEO” in the directory).
  2. Click Activate.
  3. Open Trinetra SEO in the left admin menu — you’ll land on the Dashboard showing each feature’s status.
  4. That’s it. Sitemap, schema and SEO scoring are already active. The steps below show how to use each feature.
Migrating from Yoast or Rank Math? You don’t need to disable them first — Trinetra auto-detects existing SEO output and won’t duplicate schema or meta. See section 11.

2. Real-time SEO score (0–100) FREE

Score and fix any post or page while you write.

  1. Open any post or page in the editor.
  2. Find the Trinetra SEO panel below the content (or in the sidebar).
  3. Set your Focus keyword — the phrase you want this page to rank for.
  4. The score updates live. Each red/orange item is a specific fix (e.g. “keyword missing from first paragraph”, “add an internal link”).
  5. Work down the list until you’re green. Aim for 80+.
A good score is a guide, not a guarantee. Write for the reader first — the checklist makes sure you didn’t miss the basics.

3. Meta title & description FREE

Control exactly how your page looks in Google.

  1. In the Trinetra SEO panel, open Snippet / Google preview.
  2. Edit the SEO title (keep it under ~60 characters so it isn’t truncated).
  3. Edit the meta description (~150–160 characters; include the focus keyword naturally).
  4. Use the live Google-style preview to check truncation on desktop & mobile.
Leave the description blank and Trinetra can auto-generate one from your content — handy for bulk/older posts.

4. Schema / structured data (JSON-LD) FREE

Structured data helps Google show rich results (stars, FAQs, breadcrumbs) and helps AI engines understand your page.

Supported types: Article, Product, FAQ, HowTo, LocalBusiness, Breadcrumb, Organization, WebSite.

  1. Site-wide defaults: Trinetra SEO → Schema — set your Organization / WebSite info once.
  2. Per-post: in the editor’s Trinetra panel, pick the schema type that matches the content (e.g. FAQ for a Q&A page, HowTo for a tutorial).
  3. Fill the fields shown for that type — Trinetra outputs valid JSON-LD automatically.
  4. Validate at Google’s Rich Results Test.

5. XML sitemap FREE

  1. Enabled by default. View it at https://yoursite.com/sitemap.xml.
  2. Choose which post types & taxonomies to include under Trinetra SEO → Sitemap.
  3. Submit the sitemap URL once in Google Search Console → Sitemaps.

6. Redirects & 404 monitor FREE

Never lose link equity when a URL changes.

  1. Go to Trinetra SEO → Redirects.
  2. Add a 301 redirect: old URL → new URL (use 301 for permanent moves).
  3. Check the 404 monitor regularly — it logs broken URLs visitors/bots hit so you can redirect them.

7. Social meta & breadcrumbs FREE

  1. Open Graph & Twitter cards: set a default share image under Trinetra SEO → Social; override per-post in the editor panel.
  2. Breadcrumbs: enable under Trinetra SEO → Breadcrumbs, then add <?php trinetra_breadcrumbs(); ?> to your theme template (or use the provided block/shortcode if your theme supports it).
  3. Robots.txt & llms.txt: manage crawl rules under Trinetra SEO → Tools.

8. AI-Citation — GEO & AEO PRO

This is the feature that sets Trinetra apart. GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) score how likely your page is to be cited by AI search — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews.

  1. Open a post and find the AI-Citation section in the Trinetra panel.
  2. It scores answer-first structure, FAQ schema, entity clarity and extractable facts — then tells you exactly what to improve.
  3. For a full whole-URL crawl + score, add your Trinetra Core API URL under Trinetra SEO → Settings and click “Trinetra Core scan”.
AI-Citation (GEO), LLMs.txt, the Google Indexing API, IndexNow and AI Suggestions are part of the optional Pro upgrade. The entire core toolkit above is free forever.
Why it matters: AI answers increasingly send traffic and trust. Optimizing to be the source an AI quotes is a different game from classic blue-link SEO — and most plugins don’t do it yet.

9. AI Suggestions (bring your own key) PRO

Generate meta descriptions, focus keywords, FAQ blocks and title ideas using your own AI provider key — so you control the (tiny) cost.

  1. Go to Trinetra SEO → AI Suggestions.
  2. Pick a provider: Google Gemini, Groq, OpenAI or Anthropic Claude.
  3. Paste your own API key for that provider and save.
  4. In the post editor, click any “Generate” button (meta description, FAQ, title, keyword).
Off by default. Only the title + content of the post you’re editing (trimmed to ~3000 chars) is sent, only when you click Generate, only to the one provider you chose. No visitor data is ever sent.

10. Google Indexing API & IndexNow PRO

Get new and updated posts crawled sooner.

11. Using Trinetra alongside Yoast / Rank Math FREE

Trinetra is built to coexist. It detects existing SEO output and won’t duplicate schema or meta descriptions.

12. FAQ & troubleshooting

Is Trinetra SEO really free?

Yes. The core toolkit — SEO score, JSON-LD schema, XML sitemap, redirects + 404 monitor, social meta, breadcrumbs, robots.txt, auto meta descriptions — is free and fully functional with no key and no external service. Pro adds AI-Citation (GEO), LLMs.txt, Indexing API, IndexNow and AI Suggestions.

Does it work with Yoast or Rank Math?

Yes — it auto-detects existing SEO output and won’t duplicate schema or meta. See section 11.

Do I need the Trinetra Core service?

No. All core SEO features work locally. Trinetra Core only powers optional full-page AI-Citation (GEO) scans, because a full crawl + scoring can’t run inside WordPress.

My sitemap shows a 404.

Go to Settings → Permalinks and click Save (no changes needed) to flush rewrite rules, then reload /sitemap.xml.

Do I need an API key for AI Suggestions?

Yes — you bring your own key for Gemini, Groq, OpenAI or Anthropic, so you control the cost. It’s off until you enable it.

Is any data sent on install?

No. Nothing is sent on install or admin load. External services are only contacted when you explicitly enable and use them (and the license server only when you click “Activate License”).
